I posted here just for the political debate. As I am teaching overseas, I have a first hand look on how our country is perceived and what it does. Unfortunately the stories Americans get are completely different. Teenage kids fought for the revolution in Libya recently, and the US helped supply the freedom fighters with the weapons to remove Ghadafi. But it was America that helped maneuver him there in the first place. The US goes to these countries, causes unrest and then acts like they come in to save the day, when they were actually the ones that helped start it. We, as Americans, stand for freedom, justice, honor and fairness. But how is it fair for us to force other people and countries to be like us when they don't want to be. Is an 80% divorce rate, teenagers pregnant and on drugs, "gangsta life", and obesity really that important that we need to kill others to spread what we call freedom. Not only that, but it's the electoral college that decides who becomes president, not the people. And look up why, it's because our government says people without a certain education shouldn't have the power to vote for something that important, so therefore they cannot leave a decision that powerful in the hands of the people. Look up and find the truth about our government, the federal reserve, see who's getting rich off this war. It's the rich Americans that have been making the weapons for centuries. And the oil barons. Will they ever have enough money? Spell illuminati backwards and add .com and you will be taken to the NSA webite. Obama is nothing more than a YES man, and all he will ever do is make promises that will never come true. But who cares, because he'll be taken care of for the rest of his life wuith secret service protection. What do you get? What about Guantanamo Bay?
